Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026 · Applies to the iOS and Android apps.
Kids Safety: Parent Guide has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for a name, an email address or a phone number, and your reading progress stays on your device. What follows describes the limited data the app and its service providers do handle.
1. Who we are
Kids Safety: Parent Guide is published by the developer identified on its App Store and Google Play listings. Questions about this policy go to creativecleancode@gmail.com, and we reply within a few business days.
2. What stays on your device only
- Which scenarios you have read, bookmarked, and your quiz stars
- Your reading streak and badges
- Whether onboarding has been seen, and whether premium is unlocked
- Your reminder-notification preference
None of this is uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
3. What is collected, and why
| Data | Purpose | Handled by | Linked to you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android) | Showing ads in the free chapter, measuring ad performance | Google AdMob | Not linked to your identity. Used for tracking, only with your permission. |
| Usage events — screens opened, chapters and scenarios read, quiz completions, purchase attempts | Understanding which content is useful and where the app confuses people | Google Firebase Analytics | Not linked to your identity |
| Crash reports and performance traces — device model, OS version, stack traces, timings | Finding and fixing crashes and slow screens | Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring | Not linked to your identity |
| Purchase status for the premium unlock | Unlocking the paid chapters, and restoring them on a new device | RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play | Not linked to your identity |
| Push notification token, if you allow notifications | Delivering reminder and update notifications | Firebase Cloud Messaging | Not linked to your identity |
We never sell personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves. Payment card details are handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see them.
4. Advertising and your choices
Only the free Stranger Safety chapter shows ads. Unlocking premium removes advertising from the app entirely.
- iOS: the app asks for tracking permission the first time it runs. Decline and ads become non-personalised. You can change your mind under Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.
- Android: ad personalisation can be turned off under Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: a consent form appears before the first ad, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform. Your choice is stored on the device and can be changed from the same form.
Google's own handling of ad data is described in the Google privacy & terms.
5. Children
This app is written for parents and carers, not for children to use on their own. It is not published in the Kids Category on the App Store or in the Designed for Families programme on Google Play, and it is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, write to us and we will delete it.
6. Retention and deletion
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for the periods set in their products — analytics events for up to 14 months, crash reports for up to 90 days. Purchase records are kept for as long as the entitlement exists, so that restore keeps working.
To remove everything held on the device, delete the app. To ask about data held by our service providers, email us and we will pass the request on.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent for advertising. Because the app holds no account, the fastest route for most requests is the device settings above — for anything else, email us.
8. Security
All network traffic uses HTTPS. The app stores nothing sensitive on the device, and we hold no server of our own that contains your data.
9. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes materially we update the date at the top and, where the change affects how data is used, note it in the app release notes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
